Personalized Murder Mystery Game for Staff Party

The question

For their annual summer staff party, the organization was looking for an original team-building activity on location. The desire: an interactive experience where colleagues work together, have fun and get to know each other in a different way. With as many as 160 participants, the concept had to be scalable and immersive.

The challenge

A traditional quiz or drinks game was not enough. The client wanted something special that would fit their summer setting and challenge teams to work together as well as think. UP Digital was asked to develop a custom game that combined both online elements and physical interaction.

The solution

UP Digital designed a fully personalized Murder Mystery Game that took place on a boat. Participants were divided into teams and given a mission: find out who committed the murder, with what weapon and at what location.

The game combined digital assignments, QR codes and storytelling to create an immersive experience. Each team had to solve puzzles, find clues and communicate strategically to uncover the truth. The story was custom-written, with humor, suspense and surprising plot twists.
